Secretary Cegavske Announces a Slight Increase in Active Registered Voters in June

(Carson City, NV; July 2, 2018) – Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports an increase of 19,047 active registered voters statewide during the month of June 2018 as compared to May 2018.  The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,461,833, an increase of 1.32%.

Democratic Party active registered voters statewide increased by 8,623 (1.56%), and Republican Party active registered voters statewide increased by 5,830 (1.19%).  Nonpartisan active registered voters increased by 3,502 (1.14%), Independent American Party active registered voters increased by 567 (0.88%), and Libertarian Party of Nevada active registered voters increased by 219 (1.53%).  Active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased by 306 (2.20%).

Of the 1,461,833 active registered voters in Nevada:

• 562,166 are Democrats (38.46%);

• 496,472 are Republicans (33.96%);

• 309,710 are Nonpartisan (21.19%);

• 64,720 are members of the Independent American Party (4.43%);

• 14,526 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.99%); and

• 14,239 are members of other minor political parties (0.97%).
