Secretary Cegavske Announces a Decrease in Active Registered Voters in June

(Carson City, NV; July 5, 2017) – Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports that due to routine list maintenance, a decrease of 3,836 active registered voters occurred during the month of June 2017, as compared to May 2017.  The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,472,259, a decrease of 0.26% from the prior month.

Democratic Party active registered voters decreased statewide by 2,306 (0.40%), Republican Party active registered voters decreased by 1,280 (0.26%), Nonpartisan active registered voters decreased statewide by 475 (0.15%), and Independent American active registered voters decreased statewide by 265 (0.41%).

Libertarian active registered voters increased statewide by 13 (0.09%), and active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased statewide by 477 (2.75%).

Of the 1,472,259 active registered voters in Nevada:

• 578,630 are Democrats (39.30%);

• 487,691 are Republicans (33.13%);

• 309,170 are Nonpartisan (21.00%);

• 65,036 are members of the Independent American Party (4.42%);

• 13,913 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.95%); and

• 17,819 are members of other minor political parties (1.21%).
