Secretary of State Announces New Public Information Officer
(Carson City, NV; June 25, 2009) – Secretary of State Ross Miller today announced the hiring of
Pamela duPré as the new Public Information Officer for the Secretary of State’s Office. Ms.
duPré has been a resident of Nevada for 25 years, and was most recently a news producer for
KUNR Public Radio in Reno. In her new position, duPre will be headquartered in the Secretary
of State’s office in Carson City.
Her background includes journalistic experience as a producer and reporter for Northern
Nevada radio and television outlets, including KOLO-TV Reno. Other positions Ms. duPre’ has
held include Executive Director for the Washoe County Democratic Party, Public Affairs
Coordinator for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and press secretary to the Lieutenant
Governor of Illinois. Ms. duPré holds a bachelors degree in journalism from Iowa State

Miller. “Pam brings a wealth of relevant experience to the position, and I’m confident her skill
set will serve this office and all Nevadans well.”
Ms. duPré replaces Robert Walsh, who vacated the public information officer position to
assume the position of Deputy Secretary for Southern Nevada.
