(Carson City, NV; January 13, 2014) – Secretary of State Ross Miller reminds candidates and public officers that the deadline to file the Annual Campaign Contributions and Expenses (C&E) Report and Annual Financial Disclosure Statement (FDS) covering the year 2013 is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. All C&E reports must be filed electronically through the Secretary of State’s Aurora campaign finance disclosure database, which will then be immediately available on the website to the general public.

The Annual C&E Report covers campaign contributions and expenses from the entire calendar year of 2013. If public officers have already filed C&E Reports #1-5 from 2013, the Annual C&E Report is not required. For all 2013 candidates, C&E Report #5 is also due. C&E Reports are required to be filed even if there are no received contributions or expenses during the respective reporting period.

All public officers, pursuant to NRS Chapter 281, are required to file an FDS with the Secretary of State by January 15 of each year. Judicial officers and candidates file their FDS with the Administrative Office of the Court.

To access Aurora, visit www.nvsos.gov and click the Aurora icon on the homepage. Any questions regarding filing should be directed to the Elections Division at (775) 684-5705.
