Routine Cleanup of Voter Rolls Decreases Registration Numbers for All Parties in December

(Carson City, NV; January 2, 2014) – Continuing November’s routine cleanup of voter rolls by counties, all parties decreased their voter registration numbers in December, as shown by data released today by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Elections Division. The number of statewide registered active voters decreased by 50,607 from the previous month.

Of the 1,190,025 active registrants statewide, 41.42% (492,956) are Democrats, 34.90% (415,320) are Republicans, 17.58% (209,185) are nonpartisan, 4.75% (56,497) are members of the Independent American Party, and the remaining 1.35% (16,067) are members of the Libertarian or other minor parties.
