March Voter Registration Numbers Shift Slightly from February

(Carson City, NV; April 1, 2013) – Numbers released by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Elections Division show minor changes in voter registration numbers for the month of March 2013, with a decrease of 557 voters to the total number of active registered voters.

Of the 1,284,290 active registrants statewide, 42.10% (540,700) are Democrats, 34.30% (440,470) are Republicans, 17.57% (225,687) are nonpartisan, 4.69% (60,265) are members of the Independent American Party, and the remaining 1.34% (17,168) are members of the Libertarian or other minor parties.

Nonpartisans gained the most in March by adding 172 active registered voters to the roll, while Republicans lost 908 active registered voters.
