(Carson City, NV; November 5, 2012) — Nevada’s only official general election results reporting website, www.SilverStateElection.com, will post results of the 2012 general election after the polls close tomorrow, November 6.
The comprehensive reporting website, which has undergone a redesign to improve functionality and usability, enables the public to easily monitor the official results as reported by election officials statewide throughout the evening of the election. Official county vote tallies are first sent to the Secretary of State’s office in order to be compiled with statewide results.
The website features separate tabs for finding results for the U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Statewide/Judicial, State Senate, State Assembly, and ballot questions. Seven key races of interest will be featured on the homepage – the U.S. President race; the U.S. Senate race; the U.S. House of Representatives, District 3 race; and the State Senate races for Districts 5, 6, 9 and 15.
The percentage of precincts reporting and up-to-the-minute voter turnout numbers are also available at the stroke of a key. The voter turnout feature allows users to pull up numbers from previous primary and general elections by county to compare to the 2012 turnout. Users also have multiple options for refreshing the site as general election results are reported.
As the state’s chief elections officer, Secretary of State Ross Miller reminds the public that www.SilverStateElection.com is the only place to find official statewide results for the general election and encourages interested citizens to become familiar with the site so they can quickly and easily get the information they want on election night.
For a historical perspective, detailed results from previous elections going back to 1998 can be found under the “Election Center” tab on the Secretary of State’s website, www.nvsos.gov, or by clicking here.
