Final Early Voting Turnout Statistics Available on Secretary of State’s Election Night Reporting Website

(Carson City, NV; November 3, 2012) – Final early voting turnout statistics for the November 6 general election are now posted on Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Election Night Reporting website at www.silverstateelection.com/vote-turnout.  

Between October 20 and November 2, a total of 701,845 (56%) registered voters cast their ballots early, surpassing the percentage of registered voters casting early ballots in the 2008 general election. The total number breaks down to 307,877 Democrats (44%), 259,913 Republicans (37%), and 134,055 voters registered to other parties (19%).

During the 2008 general election, a total of 649,109 registered voters (53.7%) cast their ballots early.

A total of 1,257,621 voters are registered in Nevada. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Election Day. To find your polling location, visit My Voter File in the “Elections Center” of the Secretary of State’s website, www.nvsos.gov, or by clicking here.
