2016 Nevada Student Mock Election

Student Mock Election Day is Thursday November 3rd!

Nevada Secretary of State Barbara K. Cegavske and Superintendent of Public Instruction Steve Canavero invite all Nevada students, teachers, and parents to participate in this year’s Mock Election program. This year, the Secretary of State’s office is again partnering with the Nevada Department of Education to develop and encourage the next generation of American voters by providing them with the opportunity to learn how to participate in the electoral process by voting for real candidates during a simulated election process. Who? All Nevada Students in Grades K-12

What? 2016 Nevada Student Mock Election

When? Student Mock Election Day is Thursday November 3rd, with early voting starting the week before.
Where? Online at YouthVote.NV.gov and Nevada's public and private schools, and community organizations.
Why? The My Service, My Citizenship project is a comprehensive, interactive, cross-curricular program designed by the Secretary of State's office in partnership with the Nevada Department of Education. The program is designed to educate all Nevada students about the electoral process in the State of Nevada.
